In more productive news, Torchflower seeds are also useful for feeding a variety of animals. Much like other one block wide flowers, Torchflowers can be planted as decorative flowers on the untilled ground and in Flower and Decorative Pots. Once they are fully grown, they will drop themselves upon being broken instead. If they are broken at any point before becoming fully grown, they will drop a Torchflower seed, and can be planted again. Unfortunately, it can be hard to tell when a Torchflower is done growing, as the only visual cue is jumping a few pixels to the left.
It takes two bone meal to fully grow a Torchflower. To speed up their growth, use bone meal on them. Torchflowers have three growth phases and can be planted in tilled soil. To cultivate them, you'll need the typical resources, although grown Torchflowers do not produce more seeds. In addition to being pretty, Torchflowers are also useful for the care and feeding of multiple peaceful mobs.
